A Travellerspoint blog

PART II

5 YEARS LATER

overcast -5 °C

So, is is now January 2014.........five years ago in March, we met up with Dean (our world traveller) down under and spent a glorious 3 weeks in Australia along with a stopover in Tonga and Samoa. Now, Dean and his wife, Rachel live in Melbourne along with our beautiful little granddaughter, Scarlett. They left in March of 2013 from the land of SNOW and I mean SNOW AND ICE. If we didn't have to stay here for John's mother's 100th birthday celebration on January 11, we would be gone by now.........this is just mean and ugly!!

I decided that for the benefit of friends and family and anyone else who is interested that I would occasionally blog and document our journeys. Further, it helps in the future to remember times gone by...lol!

At this point, plans are to visit Tasmania for a week in early Feb (after John learns how to drive on the wrong side of the car on the wrong side of the road). Then at end of February and first week of March, we plan to take a 2 week holiday to Bali. Nearing the end of our visit...in March, we are going to visit Uluru also known as Ayers Rock or Red Rock in the centre of Australia.

Here is what I am looking at now and which I will not be sorry to leave:

Going to live vicariously through the both of you.... You will be an expert in terms, slang, travel, and culture by the time I get to cross that trip off my bucket list, think of me Donna, and send a big wish out for my family when you see that amazing bridge again!!!!! Have a wonderful holiday and stay safe!!
